Tutorial for animating in photoshop!
<center> <h1>Animations in Adobe Photoshop</h1> <br><b><font size=3>Note: This is for Adobe Photoshop CS2 and up. I do not know if this works on lower verions of Photoshop or Elements.</b></font>
<br><b>The first thing you want to do is open up the image that you would like to animate. Note: my image already has the glitter on it, we have a tutorial on how to make glitters in the tutorial section.</b>
<br><br><b>The next thing you want to do is once you have the image animated, make sure that there is only one layer visible. To make the other two layers invisible, click the little eye icon next to the layer. Look at figure 1 below (notice the two layers w/o eyes next to them?)</b> <br><br><b>Figure 1:</b> <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial.jpg">
<br><br><b>Next go to Window: Animation (figure 2). An animation box will open up. (figure 3). <br><br>Figure 2: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial2.jpg"> <br><br>Figure 3: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial3.jpg"> <br><br>After that, you will click on a little triangle and it will give you options. The triangle is circled in red in figure 4/5.When you see those options, chose "make frames from layers" as shown in figures 4/5. <br><br>Figure 4: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial4.jpg"> <br><br>Figure 5: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial5.jpg"> <br><br>You will now see the animation box with your layers! In this case, I have three of them. You can hit the play button to see what your animation will look like. Look at figure 6 to see what this box will look like with the new frames! <br><br>Figure 6: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial6.jpg"> <br><br>Now, the ending step! You must save your image! Transparent or not transparent, go to "File" - "Save for web" (shown in figure 7). This is the only way you can save your animation! A window will then pop up (figure 8) and make sure it looks just like that with gif! After that, it will ask you to name your file and there you go! You have your animation saved! <br><br>Figure 7: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial7.jpg"> <br><br>Figure 8: <br><img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorial8.jpg">
<h2>Congrats! You have just made your first animation! This is what mine looks like:</h2> <img src="http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/wofphotography/animationtutorial/animationtutorialresult.gif">
